INTEGERS AND COORDINATE GEOMETRY

This unit begins with multiplying and dividing integers.  Next, graphing in the coordinate plane is reviewed and expanded to include various types of transformations.  Four types of translations will be examined including translations (slides), reflections (flips), rotations (turns), and dilations which are enlargements or reductions of a given figure. The lesson ends with learning how to solve problems by working backwards, a very useful problem-solving strategy.
