In this unit you, will be exploring two-dimensional shapes. You will be able to identify 2D shapes and count and compare sides and vertices. You will also learn that two shapes that look alike and are the same size are congruent.
Regular Polygons
A polygon is a plane (2D) shape with straight sides.
To be a regularpolygon, all the sides and angles must be the same.
Other Common Polygons
A quadrilateral and a rectangle are polygons with four sides.
