Activity 3: More Work with Two Digit Numbers
Now watch an exciting video from the Number Crew to learn more about 2-digit numbers. The Number Crew decides to give out some treats. The number of treats each animal gets depends on its size. Flo and Fiz hand out tickets with numbers on them to each animal, and Bradley gives out the right number of sweets. Sadly, Tiger’s ‘six’ gets ripped so it looks like a zero and Bradley can’t give him any sweets. The Monkey comforts him and they discover that when they put their digits together they have a 2-digit number ‘20’ and can claim more treats.
After watching the video, practice what you have learned by completing the following activity. You will look at the number at the beginning of each row and fill in how many tens there are and how many ones there are within it.

Review: Playing Tens and Ones with Cards
For a review, grab a stack of cards. Flip over one at a time creating a 2-digit number. You will then say how many tens there are in the number and how many ones there are in it. Record these numbers in your Math Notebook including the number, the number of tens and the number of ones.
