Lines, line segments, and rays are mathematical objects you can see in the world around you. 

A line is a straight path that goes on forever in both directions.

·     A line can be named after any two points on it

Line segments have endpoints.           

Rays go on forever in one direction.

·     A line is two rays that point in opposite directions with a common endpoint.
