       Elementary PE

The Elementary PE units will be set up with the following components.

1.  Being fit A lesson on any four pillars builds awareness of healthy lifestyle choices, guides decision-making, and improves self-management skills.

2.  fit Workout A full-body workout that will strengthen your body and your brain.

3.  Fathom Reads An e-book series on Human Cells & Digestion, Spot Sports, and Social Skills.

       Being fit

Being fit is more than just eating right and exercising. It understands what influences our choices. Our program is grounded on four pillars essential to building awareness of healthy lifestyle choices, guiding decision making, and improving self-management skills.

·     Recharge:  Your energy level influences your choices. Recharge by finding healthy screen-free ways to relax and get the sleep your body needs.

·     Mood:  Feelings and emotions put you in a mood. Your mood influences your choices, and it changes throughout the day.

·     Food:  Food is fuel. Being aware of nutritious choices and how to try new foods empowers kids to fuel their bodies and brains. 

·     Move:  Physical Activity is essential for a healthy body. Move many times, many ways, and in many places throughout the day.

fitBoost

         fit Workout

During this course, you will complete a series of fitness exercises using fitBoost activities, fit Workout videos, fitFlow activities, and fit Flow videos.

You will complete the fit Workout for three days. Follow the instructions below.

Day 1 – fitBoost Activity

In this Activity, you will complete a Warm-Up, Move, and Cool Down by clicking on the Let’s Go! Icon. The entire fitBoost will take about 5 minutes.

·     Warm Up: 1 to 2 minutes

·     Move: 1 to 2 minutes

·     Cool Down: 30 seconds to 1 minute

After you complete one set of the Activity, click the Go Again! Icon four more times. 

You should complete five sets of the fitBoost Activity.
