Practice 1.    

Find three solutions to the inequality.

Solution:

1) Choose a number to plug in for x.

Let x = 2:


Select a value for y that is less than or equal to -5.

Possible solutions:  (2, -5), (2, -7), (2, -101), etc.


2) (Optional) Select a value for y.

Let y = 0:

                                                      

Select a value for that is greater than or equal to 7.

Possible solutions: (7, 0), (24, 0), (9, 0), etc.
